Evrnu Unveils First DTC Product, 360 Hoodie, Marking Critical Step In Creating an Accessible Circular Economy

Evrnu’s ‘Responsible Collection’ debuts March 12th, 2024 with 360 Hoodie: A limited-edition fully recyclable hoodie designed by Christopher Bevans

New York, NY – March 12th, 2024 – Textile innovations leader EVRNU today takes a major step in its mission to create a more environmentally conscious fashion industry with the launch of its first direct-to-consumer product – the ‘360 Hoodie’. The ‘360 Hoodie’ is made from Evrnu’s cutting-edge fiber, Nucycl, derived from textile waste and is 100% recyclable.

To create the limited-edition hoodie, EVRNU partnered with renowned American fashion designer Christopher Bevans of Bevans Creative Studio. Fabricated with EVRNU’s proprietary fiber, Nucycl, derived from cotton textile waste, the hoodie sits at the cornerstone of fashion and technology, transforming seemingly unusable material into a product that boasts quality better than virgin materials. Constructed using 3D seamless technology, the 360 Hoodie eliminates production waste and comes with the Nucycl Guarantee: fully recyclable and can be returned to Evrnu to be “re-formed” into a new garment.

“We are at an inflection point in the fashion industry where good design and innovation have come together to create a new standard. We're thrilled to be launching our first direct-to-consumer Nucycl product, which showcases the quality, luxurious feel, and sustainability of our technology," said Stacy Flynn, CEO and co-founder of Evrnu. "Our collaboration with Christopher Bevans is the perfect way to demonstrate the power of our intention to create products that are in alignment with natural resources.”

Evrnu's technology directly addresses the environmental impact of the fashion industry, one of the largest contributors to global carbon emissions. The company's process breaks down old clothing and extracts the raw cellulose, which is then turned into new fibers and yarns which can meet or surpass the quality of virgin materials.

"So much of our work in the industry is rooted in heritage and legacy systems, making it more difficult to adopt newer innovations and technologies that minimize our collective environmental footprint,” adds Christopher Bevans. “This collaboration with Evrnu represents a new frontier for the fashion industry, allowing us to bring customers sustainable products without any trade-offs, including sacrificing quality.”

The Nucycl x Bevans 360 hoodie will be available for purchase on Evrnu's website starting March 12th, 2024, retailing for $600.00 USD. Over time, Evrnu will introduce new items to the Responsible Collection, which will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible technically and aesthetically and draw awareness to Nucycl’s first textile-to-textile recycling facility in the US with the intention to bring garment recycling to the masses.
